The Center provides paper-based and online standardized tests and psychological assessments to appraise your abilities, aptitudes, scholastic achievement, interests, personality and attitudes. Information acquired from these test data are used to enhance your self-understanding which are needed in forming realistic improvements, adjustments and realization of your potentials.
Growing up involves continues adjustment to your common developmental needs as children and adolescents in areas such as personal, social, emotional, psychological and vocational. The service provides a "second home" for you to learn relevant information for adjustment and grow in a democratic set up through structured group processes. Homeroom activities are part of this instructional/informational guidance service facilitated by the Homeroom sponsor.
As students approach graduation, they may experience a sense of fear about the prospect of leaving high school and selecting a college. Some of you start to approach this transition by gathering information and exploring options as freshmen, sophomores, and juniors while others wait until their senior year. The Center offers many resources that may facilitate your transition to high school or to college or other career plans. The service provides you with opportunities for career exploration to learn about yourself in terms of work - related skills, interests, potentials, personal and work values and personality traits as well as your needed preparations and adjustments as you develop your life career goals.
The Guidance Center uses systematic and creative ways of collecting and developing data about you with the end goal of helping you come to understand yourself (self-knowledge trough self-inventory) for the full development of your talents and potentials (self-realization). Your individual guidance cumulative records are purposely disseminated during group guidance and routine interviews for you to achieve your highest potentials based on self-realization.
