| AREA MISSION |
The Community Extension Service (CES) office articulates the SMA mission of "Advocating Community and Church Services" in order to develop a culture of humble service and realize its organizational social responsibility to the community as a demonstration of God's love.
CES programs and services are directed to school and partner communities that will bring about transformation of the heart and promotion of advocacy concerns. |
| AREA GOALS AND OBJECTIVES |
- Enhance the Ignacian Marian education by promoting and coordinating school-community outreach programs, and to function as a bridge between the academic community and its near and distant communities.
- Form alliances with groups external to the school whose support can build a stronger educational system.
- Provide the school community of relevant data about the outside community to which the school relates.
- Provide adequate and appropriate opportunities to know the condition and needs of the outside community to actively respond and be of service to the church and community.

| COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT |
Mother Ignacia Center for Human Development (MICHD). The Mother Ignacia Center for Human Development (MICHD) is designed as the built - in service ministry of SMA-P which provides technology-vocational training to out-of-school-youths and unemployed women and men.
The Center offers modular courses in Cosmetology, Dressmaking, Basic Computer Secretarial, Computer Technician and Computer Network Technician.
The modular non-formal skills training program is offered during curricular year daily from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Just as the RVM Foundress, Mother Ignacia del Espiritu Santo was primarily concerned with the underprivileged of her own times; the RVM Sisters through this non-formal education training program continue that same spirit with faith, commitment and passion for excellence to love and service.
Inclusion of spiritual and Values Formation, guidance and personality development highlight the wholistic formation of the recipients. MICHD has produced more than three thousand trainees in thirty years since its modest conception in 1979.
